We want to discover new ideas from people who may never have thought the TEDx stage was for them. This is why we’ve created Next in TEDx, a unique audition event where on November 29th, 2023, 10 candidates pitch their idea at the Rote Bar in Volkstheater in order to be selected as potential speakers for the TEDxVienna flagship conference in the fall of 2024.

Join the audience to learn more about what it takes to give a great TEDxTalk and meet the next generation of TEDxVienna speakers! The audience is limited to 100 seats, so make sure to secure your spot in time.

Submit your idea, get selected and pitch your Talk in front of a jury and a live audience. If you are selected, we work with you to help you shape your idea for our 2024 speaker line-up. For the audition, selected candidates need to prepare a 3-minute pitch of their idea.

- Any topic is welcome
- Needs to be an original idea or provide an original perspective to an existing idea
- No advertising 
- No motivational speeches
- No religious or political agenda
- No pseudoscience

‍No stage experience? No problem! Remember, we are looking for great ideas, not great public speakers.
